Beaver River, North Shore Lake Superior

The Beaver River flows downward to the north shore of Lake Superior in northeastern Minnesota. The Beaver River river has rapids tumbling over shelves of dark rock dotted with clear pools and swirling eddies, opening into a wide mouth at Beaver Bay, the oldest town on the North Shore.
