Silky rapids on Temperance River
Along the Temperance River. Of the many rivers and streams that flow into Lake Superior along Minnesota's north shore area, the Temperance gets its name because there's no sand bar at its mouth. When you look closely in the middle of the frame you can see a stick/branch sticking up out of the water after somehow getting stuck between rocks and defying the strong current.
